Dallas Air Conditioning Repair & Heating Installation

DALLAS AIR CONDITIONING REPAIR AND HEATING REPAIR

Dallas, Texas was founded in 1841 by a man named John Neely Bryan, who settled over on the east bank of the Trinity River. Bryan chose this spot, which was adjacent to a natural ford in the river, as the location for a trading post. The ford in the river happened to be the best river crossing-point for miles, hence an ideal location to catch travelers. While the origin of the name Dallas remains unknown, it’s thought to have come from one of three possible candidates: George Mifflin Dallas – Vice President of the United States (1845-1849), Commodore Alexander J. Dallas – U.S. Navy, or Joseph Dallas – an early settler of the region. Dallas County was officially formed in the year 1846. Dallas was incorporated as a town in 1856. Starting in the mid-1870s, Dallas shifted from being predominantly an agricultural community to becoming a self-sustaining industrial city. With the annexation of East Dallas in 1890, the city became the most populous city in Texas. Today, Dallas is the third-largest city in terms of population in the state and the eighth-most populous city in the entire U.S.
